Salmon
River Rafting
The Salmon River-An Unforgettable
Experience
(Class IV) 6 Day
Whitewater Rafting on the Middle fork of the Salmon
A rafting trip on the Middle Fork of the Salmon
is one of the great wilderness experiences in the
Lower 48. The Middle Fork carves its way through
one of the largest wilderness areas in the United
States: the 2.4 million-acre Frank Church/River
of No Return Wilderness in the heart of central
Idaho. Rafters running the Middle Fork may hear
the cries of wolves as they settle into their comfortable
sleeping tents; they’ll certainly thrill
to the majestic cliffs of Idaho batholiths that
line the river canyon.
6 Day Whitewater Rafting on the Main Salmon
Whitewater rafting in Idaho is a premium river
experience. The Main Salmon River, the River of
No Return, offers excellent Idaho whitewater rafting.
You'll also enjoy placid pools, magnificent mountain
scenery and beautiful sand beaches. Most of the
river gorge is timbered, reaching 5000 feet or
more to the ridges above. Elevation is moderate,
beginning at 3000 feet, so summer temperatures
are warm. We float 80 miles in six days.
