Our 5-day beginner kayak school is located on the Recreational Section of the Rogue River.  This section of the Rogue River is perfect for beginner kayakers.  The first few days are spent on class I and II rapids and taking plenty of time to learn the roll in calm pools.  The water temperature is warm which allows you more time to learn the necessary skills without getting cold.  The last 2 days are spent on harder class II (one class III) rapids and your skills will be put to the test.

Accommodations include either a safari style tent or a traditional tipi. Meals will be prepared by your guides . Cots, pads and sleeping bags are avaialbe to rent if needed. All kayakers will be staying at Almeda Campground.

Sundance provides the following on the 5-day beginner kayak school:
*Helmet, life jacket, fleece, splash top, wet suit, spray skirt, paddle, kayak, float bags.
*5 days of kayak instruction on the Rogue River
*Shuttles to and from river each day
*Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

Our 9-day beginner/intermediate kayak school spends 5 days on the Recreation section of the Rogue River and 4 days camping on the Wild and Scenic Section of the Rogue River.  We teach you the skills and then you get to apply your skills on a class III wilderness river. 
Sundance provides the following on the 9-day beginner kayak school:
*Helmet, life jacket, fleece, splash top, wet suit, spray skirt, paddle, kayak, float bags
*5 days of kayak instruction on the Rogue River + 4 day guided wilderness kayak trip
*Shuttles from put-ins and take-outs
*Lunch everyday
*Breakfast and dinner on the 4 day whitewater kayak trip
*Thick sleeping pad

Hi Everybody!
The end of summer is near, but our memories of Sundance in July are still so fresh. Thank you guys all so much for once again guiding us through the best family vacation ever!
Quick update on the rest of our summer - hate to say it was an overall disappointment after being with you guys...maybe we should come in August again next year! We checked-out the river park in Reno. Larry and Cameron could hang there all day. I grew up in Reno so I knew where to find good pizza.
